Our Story

Clay, fire, and a small wish.

Cerqora began in a southern kiln town where porcelain has been fired for generations. We wanted to take that quiet, centuries-old craft and give it a place on modern desks and shelves — not as museum pieces, but as small, daily blessings people actually live with.

Every piece is shaped, fired, and brush-written by hand. Every piece carries a wish: for warmth, for luck, for love, for a little more ease in the day. That is the whole idea — heritage made personal.

How a piece is made

Four steps, all by hand, all in our studio.

01 · ShapeThe form is thrown or slip-cast from fine porcelain clay, then trimmed and dried slowly to avoid cracks.
02 · Carve & HollowFor lighting pieces, the body is hand-hollowed and pierced with paper-cut patterns that cast shadows when lit.
03 · FireFired above 1,300°C — high enough to vitrify the clay and lock in a soft, warm glaze.
04 · BrushBlessings are hand-lettered in cinnabar on talismans and plaques. This is the part no machine can repeat.
